Green Drinks Event
Green Drinks is a monthly gathering of people, from all walks of life, who come together to discuss matters of environmental concern. This month's topic is the proposed Enbridge Pipeline, illustrating the ensuing expansion of the Tar Sands and the inevitable danger of oil tankers plying off our Pacific coast, if this pipeline is allowed to proceed. Josh Deleenheer, of the Sea 2 Sands Conservation Alliance will make a presentation and there will be plenty of time to discuss this important issue and to determine any appropriate action the group would like to take.
You may also want to take in the films being shown as part of the Travelling World Community Film Festival on this topic on March 22nd (International Water Day); Land of Oil and Water at Raven Haven at 12.10pm and H2Oil at UNBC at 7pm. These films are being sponsored by the Carrier Sekani Tribal Council and the Sea2Sands Coservation Alliance
Venue: Raven Haven, 421 George St
