Sports and Recreation

In Prince George, there’s no shortage of activities to get your blood flowing. With dozens of sports and recreation centres and acres of open land, unique adventures await you up north!

Whether you’re looking to explore the biking trails the locals frequent, improve your handicap at one of our exceptional golf courses, set up a tent in a remote campsite and cast a line in the lake or hike through a web of wooded trails, long summer days allow for plenty of time to enjoy the great outdoors. If you’re feeling especially daring, try your hand at rock climbing, whitewater rafting, ice climbing, horseback riding or skydiving!

In the winter, carve up the ice on a skating rink, trek through fields on a pair of snowshoes, explore the mountains on a snowmobile, slide down a hill with a toboggan or bundle up for a day of cross-country or downhill skiing.
