New Winter Video and PK's Open!

Tourism Prince George is pleased to celebrate the arrival of winter by showcasing some of the world class product available in our region. Today, Tourism Prince George releases a new winter promotional video that documents a Northern BC trip taken last April by professional snowboard athletes, including former Olympians Dominique Vallée and Mercedes Nicoll. The video highlights a six-day experience at a variety of locations in the Prince George area, including Bearpaw Heli-Skiing, Powder King Mountain, Tabor Mountain, and the Nu Spa at Treasure Cove Hotel. The video is a follow-up to an 8-page magazine feature that is available on shelves now as part of the Snowboard Canada Women’s Annual.

The new promotional video is available in our Photo and Video Gallery. It will also be played for the next few weeks on the screen in the Visitor Centre located at 1300 First Ave (inside the Via Rail building). Locals and visitors are invited to stop by the centre for a look and to pick up some free winter promo items that will help ease the transition between seasons.

Additionally, Tourism Prince George is thrilled to promote the opening of Powder King Mountain Resort on Friday, November 11th. This represents one of the earliest openings in history for the hill, which is on the bucket list for many ski/snowboard enthusiasts around North America.

Tourism Prince George will be on location for opening day at Powder King along with professional videographer Nate Laverty from Whistler. An opening day promotional video will be released next week to showcase conditions not offered at any other resort in Canada at this early point in the season.
