Hot Spot: Ridgeview Gardens B&B
Geoff and Patti Eacott opened the doors of Ridgeview Gardens in August of 2002 with the Garden Suite. Their first foray into the world of Bed and Breakfasts coincided with the Senior Games in Prince George. Not only did Ridgeview Gardens fill up for the four days of the Games, but also the next three months with short term stays for management and staff from the Northern Health Unit!
A few short years later, when the Senior Games returned to Prince George, Geoff and Patti received so many room requests that they decided to add an additional space to accommodate as many people as they could. This has evolved into what is now the charming Birch Room, which boasts a queen bed, private bath with jetted tub, and small TV room and lounge for two people. Guests also have the luxury of exclusive use of the second floor for complete privacy.
Reaching number one on TripAdvisor for Bed and Breakfasts in Prince George does not happen by accident. Unique features at Ridgeview Gardens include herb and vegetable gardens for guests to use at will, a constant stream of wildlife roaming the backyard, and a beautiful view overlooking the Nechako Valley. Bird lovers will be especially pleased with the many chickadees, nuthatches, woodpeckers, robins, red poles, grosbeaks, and other species that frequent their bird feeders daily.
If you’re searching for a place to stay where you can really experience the true urban wilderness that Prince George has to offer, look no further than this week’s Hot Spot — Ridgeview Gardens B&B!
