Hot Spot: Coffee Garden

This week's Hot Spot is the Coffee Garden at the Coast Inn of the North! Big changes are in the works at the restaurant, which features all of your old favourites, plus mouthwatering new items on every menu: the Breakfast Skillet and Blackstone Benedict for breakfast; Baja Salad, Poutine, and the Angus Beef Premium Burger for lunch; and Halibut, BC Salmon, Danish Baby Back Ribs, and Chicken Cordon Bleu for dinner.

Prime Rib Weekends are featured every Friday to Sunday, with plates from $17. Turn this delicious special into a fun family tradition!

Of course, behind every great dish is a talented chef! It was over 15 years ago that Sean Rankin first started his journey with Coast Hotels & Resorts, working in the Coast Victoria Harbourside Hotel at the award-winning Blue Crab Bar & Grill. He is a success story for Coast Hotels & Resorts and the BC Culinary industry: having completed his Red Seal Apprenticeship in 1996, he was named one of the top 8 apprentices on Vancouver Island shortly after.

In 2006, Sean made his way to Prince George, where he began working as the Sous Chef at our local Coast Hotel. Since then, Sean has updated the menus for Winston's Dining Room, the Coffee Garden, and the hotel's Catering department. You can now find him as the Executive Chef serving up his signature meals daily at the Coast Inn of the North.
